Pauley Perrette is in mourning following the death of her rescue dog last week (begs02Apr12).

The Ncis star's pooch, Lil Joe, fell ill on Wednesday (04Apr12) and Perrette rushed the canine to the vet for medical assistance.
Taking to her Twitter.com to recount the traumatic experience, she wrote, "My beloved rescue dog LilJoe going into emergency surgery now for internal bleeding if anyone wants to pray... LilJoe is out of surgery, notout of the woods Had spleen removed and lemon sized tumor. I love you all for your prayers...
"Watch you pets closely Cold Skin and Snout, White gums, lethargy, not eating... TAKE THEM TO ER ASAP!... In hospital with LilJoe Doing better! Bless" Perrette's beloved pet appeared to be on the road to recovery but then died on Friday (06Apr12).
Alerting fans of the sad news, she wrote, "My beloved rescue LilJoe went to heaven at 1110 AM. I thank him for 11 years of love.
"Thank you forall your love I will always miss my LilJoe But my mom and everyone you know in Heaven are happy hugging him now... Always count your blessings".
