Regina Spektor, U.S. singer/songwriter collapsed on Wednesday night (14Nov07) shortly before her scheduled performance in Nashville, Tennessee. Regina was rushed to hospital and officials at the city's concert venue Ryman Auditorium announced nearly 10 minutes after the Russian-born Fidelity singer was due to take the stage that Spektor was being held by doctors for observation.A statement released by her management read, “Last night in Nashville, following her sound check at the Ryman Auditorium, Regina Spektor was taken to a local hospital after collapsing due to a severe inner ear infection which caused a sudden case of vertigo. “Regina was released late last night and is resting comfortably. Regina is extremely disappointed that she had to cancel on her fans but will return to the Ryman on December 6th, where all tickets will be honored or refunded.”Spektor is currently on tour in support of her latest album, Begin to Hope
