Renee Zellweger: 'I'm A Terrible Movie Star'....

Hollywood actress Renee Zellweger is a "terrible" movie star - because she hates promoting her work.

The actress - who is busy publicising new movie Leatherheads - admits she finds interviews with the media tiresome.

She says, "I'm a terrible movie star. I'm not good at it. I can pretend to be but it takes a lot out of me. It's not my natural inclination to go, 'Oh good! Another talk show!'" Zellweger also admits she chooses film characters who bear no resemblance to herself - because doesn't want to feel vulnerable on the big screen.

She adds, "I don't feel safe playing the girl who looks like me. There's not enough to hide behind.

"The further removed the character is from my own, the more fun and easier it is."

In other news it's been revealed Renee Zellweger is the scourge of her New York City apartment block - because she appears every six months and blocks the laundry room.

The actress barely visits her Manhattan hideaway, but when she does, she spends ages locked away washing sacks and sacks of dirty clothes from her time away on movie sets.

She says, "I like to do my laundry. It's something about getting organised.

"I'm not a very popular person in my building. Apparently I'm a washer hog.

I'll just get off the plane, go to the basement and unload six months of washing into the machine."
