Ridley and Tony Scott are set to produce a big screen version of 'The A-Team'.
The 'Gladiator' film maker has signed up as producer of the project while his brother Tony - whose directing credits include 'Top Gun and 'True Romance' - will executive produce through their company Scott Free.

'Smokin' Aces' director Joe Carnahan has been recruited to direct the long-anticipated movie, which has been in limbo since '2 Fast 2 Furious' director John Singleton dropped out of the project.
Ridley said: "Tony and I feel that marrying this Scott Free project with Joe's sensibility will result in a fast-paced, exciting franchise - one we hope will be around for years to come."

The new film is set to follow the same premise, but will replace Vietnam with the Middle East.
Joe said: "You can make a film that reflects on the real world without losing the great sense of fun and the velocity of action in a classic summer popcorn film."
