Robert De Niro wants to direct two sequels to his 2006 movie 'The Good Shepherd'.
The actor - who directed and starred in the film alongside Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie - thinks there is scope to do two follow-ups to the CIA thriller.
He said: "I would like to do another story from 1961 until 1989 and the fall of the Berlin Wall. That is what we are talking about now. Then I'd like to do a third film from 1989 to the present. I'd like to make it a trilogy."
Robert also revealed he loves directing.
He added: "I like to direct actors a lot. One thing you always have to be aware of is that the casting is 95 per cent of it. If you get the right actor, most of your problems are solved and you just need to make a few little adjustments along the way.
"To make a film is so much hard work, and if you don't have the combination it's not going to work."
