Robert Downey Jr. is in demand following the success of 'Iron Man'.
It was announced yesterday (16.06.08) that the actor is in final negotiations to star in the forthcoming DreamWorks sci-fi western 'Cowboys Vs Aliens' as lead character Zeke Jackson.
Zeke is a former gunslinger who is involved in a battle between Apaches and Western settlers, only for the fight to be disrupted when an alien spaceship crashlands.
In addition to 'Cowboys Vs Aliens', Robert reportedly wants to play Sherlock Holmes in Guy Ritchie's forthcoming film about the famous detective.
The 43-year-old is also said to be interested in 'The Deep Blue Good-by' and 'Dog Years', while Hugh Hefner has expressed an interest in having Robert play him in the forthcoming biopic of the Playboy founder.
Robert will also start work on 'Iron Man 2' later this year.
The actor's career suffered a downtown in the late 1990s when he was jailed for drug offences.
