Robert Schimmel has died from his injuries following a car accident last month (Aug10).
The funnyman, who was a regular on Howard Stern's radio show, was a passenger in a car driven by his 19-year-old daughter Aliyah on 26 August (10) when the teenager reportedly swerved to avoid another vehicle and crashed.
Schimmel was hospitalized at a medical facility in Phoenix, Arizona and passed away on Friday (03Sep10) aged 60, his manager Lee Kernis has confirmed.
Schimmel's daughter and one of his sons, who was also a passenger in the car, were also taken to hospital but are said to be in a stable condition.
Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoonist Paul Conrad has also passed away at the age of 86.
The illustrator died from natural causes at his home in Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Angeles on Saturday (04Sep10), his son David has confirmed.
Conrad became famed for poking fun at U.S. presidents including Harry S. Truman, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, and his funny drawings even landed him on former leader Richard Nixon's list of enemies.
He spent the last three decades working at the Los Angeles Times and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize a total of three times throughout his 50-year career.
He is survived by his wife of more than six decades, Kay, and their two sons and two daughters. And Mick Lally has died at the age of 64.
The popular star, born Michael Lally, passed away last Tuesday (31Aug10) in Dublin after suffering from a brief illness.
Lally co-founded Galway's Druid Theater troupe with actress Marie Mullen and Garry Hynes in 1975 and he went on to find fame on hit Irish TV soap Glenroe, on which he portrayed farmer Miley Bryne.
He also appeared in films such as 1994 fantasy The Secret of Roan Inish and voiced the character of Aiden in the Oscar-nominated animated movie The Secret of Kells last year (09).
Lally is survived by his wife Peige and three children.
