Rufus Wainright brands Bush family; "Spawn of Satan"

Singer Rufus Wainwright has branded U.S. president George W. Bush's family "the spawn of Satan" - despite being pals with the politician's daughter Barbara.

The crooner became friends with Bush's eldest daughter Barbara in 2002, and describes the 26-year-old as a "fag hag" who enjoys the company of gay men.

However, their friendship could soon come to a bitter end now that he has risked upsetting her by attacking her famous family in a recent interview.

Wainwright tells Britain's the Metro newspaper, "The thing about the Bushes is even though they're the spawn of Satan they are extremely charming and congenial."
