Rupert Everett has blamed his failure to secure a permanent role in Boston Legal on his horrible driving skills - because he arrived on-set frazzled with nerves after negotiating the roads of Los Angeles.
That was abig opportunity - and I blew it
The actor was delighted when he was cast as a litigator in the legal drama - but he only appeared in two episodes and admits he "blew" the opportunity after failing to impress producers.
But Everett is convinced he would have done better if he didn't have todrive to the studio himself.
He says, "With American TV they work so hard and do 10-minute scenes inone take, which I find very difficult. Also I had to drive to work, and I'm not a very good driver and I'd be in such a state by the time I got to the studio, I could hardly say my name - let alone my lines. That was abig opportunity - and I blew it".
