Sam Riley is reportedly set to star in 'Nottingham'.The 'Control' actor is the latest name in the frame for the Ridley Scott movie, based on the story of Robin Hood.'Gladiator' actor Russell Crowe is to star as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the role-reversal film, which sees him playing the good guy, with Robin Hood portrayed as a baddie. A source told Latino Review: "Russell Crowe wants Sam Riley, who played Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis in 'Control', to play opposite him as Robin Hood. It's not official yet but they will most likely get Sam for the role because Crowe loved his performance in 'Control'. "It was reported last week that 'Batman Begins' actor Christian Bale was set to take on the role of Robin, but these rumours have been dismissed.'Nottingham' follows a love triangle that forms between Robin Hood, Maid Marian and his arch-nemesis, the Sheriff of Nottingham.
