SAMANTHA MORTON, who plays Hindley, has been singled out for particular criticism.But Broadbent, who plays politician LORD LONGFORD in the film, LONGFORD, insists it isn't sensationalist.Longford focuses on the peer's relationship with Hindley - he long campaigned for her release, until his death in 2001.Describing his character as "a profoundly religious man who believed in the power of forgiveness", Broadbent says, "This is a serious film about Longford and his relationship with Myra Hindley. It is not a sensational look at the moors murders."
