5 months ago 13th Jun 09:29

Chick flick Sex and the City: The Movie retains it's position at number one in the UK box office for a second week grossing a further £3 million.

An adaptation of the hit television series sees Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Charlotte Davis and Cynthia Nixon re-unite for the fist time since the show ended in 2004.

Still grossing over £2.6 million the fourth Indy movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull held onto the number two spots.

The top two movies were the only entries in the top ten to break through the £1 million barrier.

New entries made up the rest of the top five with spoof movie Superhero Movie in at three and horror flick Prom Night entered at four.

Ben Affleck's directorial debut Gone Baby Gone, the film was delayed last year because of similarities with the real Madeline McCann case, rounded off the top five at number five.

There were also new entries for Bollywood movie Sarkar Raj at number eight and Russian historical epic Mongol, based on the story of Genghis Khan, at number nine.
