Reggae star Shaggy's Jamaican house survives Hurricane Dean. The storm is the ninth most intense Atlantic hurricane ever recorded - and Shaggy admits his house had a close call when the storm passed just south of Jamaica earlier this week (begs20Aug07).Speaking at the Mobo Nominations Launch on Wednesday (22Aug07) in London, he says, "My house in Jamaica is fine, with my 11 dogs and my daughter."We've lost a couple of limbs from my trees, but that's all." Orville Richard Burrell otherwise known as Shaggy appeared on the music scene in 1993 with his hit Oh Carolina.His biggest hit at the time, and one is largely associated with, was 1995's Boombastic.He made a comeback in 2001 with the album Hot Shot which topped the Billlboard 200. The album produced two worldwide number one hits It wasn't Me anD Angel.
