TWAIN IS A DOUBLE DIAMOND
Country superstar SHANIA TWAIN has joined the exclusive club featuring THE EAGLES, LED ZEPPELIN and MICHAEL JACKSON after shifting 20 million copies of her hit COME ON OVER album in America.
The singer's 1997 album has been certified double diamond in the latest Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) sales list.
The disc is the best-selling country album in history, according to the RIAA.
Only five artists have titles that have shipped more copies to US retailers - The Eagles' THEIR GREATEST HITS (1971-1975), Michael Jackson's THRILLER, THE WALL by PINK FLOYD, LED ZEPPELIN's LED ZEPPELIN IV and BILLY JOEL's GREATEST HITS, VOL 1 & II.
Meanwhile, new multiple-platinum certifications handed out by the RIAA include EVANESCENCE's FALLEN, CLOSER by JOSH GROBAN and RAY CHARLES' GENIUS LOVES COMPANY
