Shannen Doherty will appear in the new 'Beverly Hills 90210' spin-off, it has been confirmed.Shannen, who played Brenda Walsh in the original hit US TV series, has agreed to join her former co-stars Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling for the new programme, The CW television network announced on Saturday (19.07.08).Tori, whose character Donna Martin now runs a boutique, can't wait to be reunited on screen with Shannen, saying: "It's amazing. That's probably the best news the fans could ever get. All the girls on the show will be psyched!" Brenda, who is now a successful theatre director, will return to West Beverly Hills High School to stage a musical.The show's executive producer Gabe Sachs, has denied Shannen and Jennie are already struggling to get along.He said: "There isn't any tension. No one's been on the set yet but I think they'll be OK. I don't think they've gotten together and had dinner yet."Shannen left 'Beverly Hills 90210' in 1994, amid reports she had fallen out with her castmates and the crew.
