Sigourney Weaver's Alien wish

4 months ago 08th Jul 13:30

Sigourney Weaver hopes to star in 'Alien 5'.

Sigourney - who last played Ellen Ripley in - told America's OK! magazine: "I would definitely do another if I had a director like Ridley Scott and we had a good idea. Ridley is enthusiastic about it."

The actress' character was killed off in 'Alien 3' after she reportedly begged bosses to write her out, but was brought back to life for the fourth instalment in 'Alien Resurrection'.

The four 'Alien' movies have also seen two spin-offs, 'Alien Vs. Predator', released in 2006, and 2007's 'Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem', neither of which starred 58-year-old Sigourney.

Meanwhile, the statuesque actress has revealed her 'The Year of Living Dangerously' co-star Mel Gibson helped her to accept her height.

Sigourney - who stands at almost six feet tall - revealed: "When I first started out there were very few tall actors. Mel Gibson got on a box, never had a problem. He was just as sweet as can be. He was just so secure about my height. He just thought it was a lark, he thought it was funny."
