Sir Cliff Richard has hit out at the media over speculation about his sexuality - insisting he is "sick to death" of rumours he is gay.
The star's sexuality has long been the subject of speculation and Richard continually refuses to confirm or deny he is gay.
Now he has criticised the press for focusing on his lovelife rather than his music. He writes in his autobiography, My Life, My Way, "As for my sexuality, I am sick to death of the media's speculation about it.
"What business is it of anyone else's what any of us are as individuals? I don't think my fans would care either way."
Richard goes on to give his approval to same-sex unions. He adds, "Same-sex marriages are perhaps a modern example of how things have changed. I think the (Christian) Church must come round and see people as they are now. Gone are the days when we assumed loving relationships would be solely between men and women."

Your headline is totally misleading. He did not say he is 'not gay'. He just said he was sick about speculation about his sexuality, as your story correctly says.
