Mick Jagger Denies Signing Dodd Knighthood Petition....
Sir Mick Jagger has denied reports he has backed a campaign to have British comedian Ken Dodd knighted.
The Rolling Stones frontman was thought to have added his signature to an online petition urging British prime minister Gordon Brown to include the 80-year-old funnyman on his list of recommended honourees for Queen Elizabeth II next year (09).
But a representative for Jagger insists the entry was not made by the rocker himself: "Mick has a healthy respect for Ken Dodd's humour but has not signed a petition pushing for his elevations to Sir Doddy. It is an imposter or another Mick Jagger."
