Raven Symone Returning to Broadway for Sister Act

Former child star Raven-Symone is returning to Broadway to take on the leading role in Whoopi Goldberg's musical Sister Act.

The Cosby Show star made her New York stage debut singing with the BoysChoir of Harlem when she was just five years old and now the actress hassigned up to play nun Deloris Van Cartier, a role originated by Goldbergin the hit 1992 film.

Symone will begin her six-month run at the Broadway Theatre in March (12), according Deadline.com.

The 26 year old replaces current star Patina Miller, who recently earned a Tony Award nomination for her turn in the production.

Sister Act opened last April (11) and comedian Goldberg serves as one of the show's producers.
