Star Trek Reunion Soured By Shatner.... The surviving members of Star Trek have ditched plans for a reunion - because many of them insist they are still scarred by fellow actor William Shatner's hurtful attitude on set.Relations between the show's stars have been tense ever since the first episode aired in 1966 - Nichelle Nichols, 72, who played Lt Uhura, says Shatner is "an insensitive, hurtful egotist," while George Takei, who played Sulu, says he refused to ever pronounce his name properly, adding, "Your acting makes me want to gag."But Shatner, who played Captain Kirk claims his castmates were at fault He says, "I was there every single day. The other members of the cast came in on occasion. "Slowly the other cast members began to consider themselves leads and no longer wanted to take a back seat. Their perception of reality changed."
