Sylvester Stallone made sure his father passed away "knowing his son loved him" by reconciling at his deathbed after years of bitterness, according to the actor's mum Jackie.
Frank Stallone Sr.
passed away in Florida, with the Rocky star by his side, on 11 July (11) after a battle with prostate cancer.
His relationship with Sylvester had been strained, but the action man put aside their differences for an emotional farewell.
Jackie tells Britain's Sunday Express that Frank died "knowing his son loved him", adding, "It turned out to be the last time they saw each other and it was beautiful. I cry, more with joy than sadness, when I look atthem".
And Sylvester went the extra mile to ensure his dying dad was happy, treating the 91 year old to his favourite traditional foods.
Jackie recalls, "(Sylvester) treated everyone to an Italian meal they ordered in. That's just what Frank wanted. When a C2ADperson is dying all you should remember are the good things about him... He'd had the C2ADgreatest gift of all - seeing his son again".
