Hawkins Checks Himself Into The Priory.... The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins checked himself into London rehab clinic The Priory on Saturday (12Aug06), according to a British newspaper.

The I Believe In A Thing Called Love rocker, who has admitted battling the eating disorder bulimia in the past, prompted fears over his health when he cancelled a festival appearance in Denmark last week (ends13Aug06).

The 31-year-old has been under increasing pressure following the commercial failure of his group's second album One Way Ticket To Hell... And Back, and it's rumoured his record label is preparing to drop him.

An insider tells the Daily Mirror, "Justin's been feeling really low of late and he wanted to go somewhere he could clear his head.

"He's been looking terrible - his skin's taken on a weird yellow pallor The Priory really is the best place for him".

The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood recently spent a spell in the clinic as he battled alcohol dependency.
