Teri Hatcher sleeps in the same bed as her dog.

The 'Desperate Housewives' actress recently gave an American Bulldog called Jack a new home, but admits his sleeping habits are hampering her love life a little.

Teri explained: "I got a new dog. I got an American Bulldog named Jack I rescued. He's not a big shedder, but he does snore. I have to wear earplugs when he sleeps with me."

The 44-year-old actress - who has 11-year-old daughter Emerson Rose - already has two dogs, three cats, a rabbit, two birds and a horse at her house, and revealed she decided to get a new dog rather than a cat so she didn't look "crazy".

She added to US TV show ‘Access Hollywood’: "It was so funny. My daughter wanted me to get another cat. I said, 'Honey, we can't have four cats, then I'm like the crazy single lady with all the cats.' And she goes, 'No, mom, that's five. Five is when you become the crazy single cat lady.' "
