Terminator Producers File for Reorganisation Over Cash Issues

Two of the producers of the latest Terminator movie have filed for bankruptcy after failing to pay back investors in the action film.

Even though Terminator Salvation has made over $370 million (Gbp246.6 million) globally since its release in May (09), Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek found themselves unable to pay bosses at funding firm Pacificoran agreed sum.

Pacificor executives financed the producers' $30 million (Gbp20 million) purchase of the Terminator rights, and helped them make other payments totalling $9 million (Gbp6 million), according to the Los Angeles Times.

Now, three companies belonging to Anderson and Kubicek have filed for Chapter 11 reorganisation in Los Angeles' U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Terminator Salvation is the only movie released under the two producers' Halcyon film company.
