Lucinda Ledgerwood was fired from 'The Apprentice' last night (04.06.08) - missing the chance to appear in next week's final.Instead of a weekly task, contestants faced a series of interviews from business experts, including Birmingham City Chief Executive Karren Brady, who previously appeared as a celebrity contestant in a charity version of the show last year.Branded "too zany" by Sir Alan Sugar, the 31-year-old later confessed she had been close to quitting on several occasions. She said: "I was singled out. People thought I was a pushover. I did cry because I felt I was being singled out."The other candidates called me lazy and said detrimental things."I didn't expect so much nastiness. There were times where I did feel like walking out. On occasions, it was verging on bullying. "The boys paired up and I was an easy scapegoat but I don't regret going on the show. I fought my corner and survived to be in the final five."In a first for the hit BBC show, four contestants will fight it out in next week's final - Lee McQueen, Alex Wotherspoon, Helene Speight and Claire Young.
The foursome will be split into two teams for the final task, with the pair on the losing team automatically losing the opportunity to win the £100,000-a-year job working for Sir Alan.
