The Game Apologises Over Eminem 'slur'....

Rapper The Game has denied attacking his pal Eminem in a new track leaked online - insisting his lyrics have been misinterpreted.

The single My Life, from his forthcoming L.A.X. album, is a collaboration with Lil Wayne.

He was rumoured to be referring to Eminem and his 2002 movie 8 Mile, in the line: "All the pictures of me and Em, I burned them / So there ain't no proof I walked through 8 Mile".

But the Dreams hitmaker is adamant that the song is not a slur on Eminem - insisting it is about his relationship with late D12 rapper Proof, who was shot dead in his native Detroit, Michigan in April 2006.

The Game tells AllHipHop.com, "When I originally wrote the song My Life, I was trying to think back on events that affected my life and how they changed me. I remember when Proof died vividly and now every time I think about going to Detroit I get depressed.

"That is what I was trying to say in that verse and the more I looked at it I realised that people would take it the wrong way the way they are taking it now that it leaked".

The Game has now changed the song - scrapping the controversial lyrics - and apologised for any offence his words may have caused.
