O.j. Simpson Unhappy With Goldman Lawyer's Testimony.... O.J. Simpson faces a court grilling over his finances during his trial for an alleged hotel heist, after the judge allowed prosecutors to bring the Goldman family's lawyer to the stand. The former American football star is charged with kidnapping and armed robbery charges relating to a September 2007 encounter with sports memorabilia dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley.Simpson, 61, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He maintains he and five associates entered Fromong's Las Vegas hotel room to recover stolen goods that belonged to the former sports star. Prosecutors at Clark County Court in Nevada claim Simpson set up the alleged robbery in Sin City in the hope that California authorities would not find out about it, so he could benefit from the proceeds. And they have been granted permission by Judge Jackie Glass to bring attorney David Cook - who represents Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman - to testify against Simpson. The Naked Gun star was acquitted of the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her pal Ron Goldman by a Los Angeles jury in 1995.He was later found liable for the pair's deaths by a civil panel and was ordered to pay the Goldman family more than $38 million (£20.5 million) in compensation - $33 million (£17.8 million) of which he still owes.
