Thom Yorke's classical album

5 months ago 04th Jul 13:15

Thom Yorke has contributed to a classical music album.

The Radiohead frontman has lent his talents to 'Cortical Songs', a record inspired by the work of John Matthias.

Thom is one of 11 musicians - including The Verve's Simon Tong and The Beta Band's John Maclean - to feature on the LP.

Fellow contributor Gabriel Prokofiev: said: "This is a way of searching for new sounds and direction in music. Thom's remix in particular - the first he has ever done of a classical work - is really adventurous and avant garde."

John Matthias played violin on several tracks on Radiohead's album 'The Bends'.

The album will be released on July 21.

Thom is not the only Radiohead star to dabble in the classical world.
