The woman who sparked Tiger Woods' affair scandal has scrapped plans to hold a press conference in Los Angeles on Thursday (03Dec09) - just hours before it was due to take place.

Rachel Uchitel, who was exposed as the married golf star's lover in a National Enquirer report last week (ends27Nov09), was expected to join herlawyer, Gloria Allred, at a media gathering to address the tabloid claims.

The club boss has denied having any "involvement" with Woods, telling the New York Post, "I have not had an affair with Tiger Woods.

"I have never spoken on the phone with Tiger Woods, or texted him, ever. This is ridiculous. Not a word of it is true. I told the Enquirer and Star that it wasn't true. I told them not only did I have information to disprove the story, but I offered to take a lie-detector test".

But the meeting was called off early on Thursday amid reports Uchitel and Woods had been in contact on Wednesday (02Dec09), prompting claims a deal had been made between the pair, reports Tmz.com.

However, as FemaleFirst went to press, no official reason had been given for the cancellation of the press conference. Uchitel is not the only woman Woods has been romantically linked to - cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs and Las Vegas club manager Kalika Moquin are also alleged to have had affairs with the shamed star.
