Tilda Swinton used to support her family with her gambling habit.
The actress admits she enjoys a flutter on the horses and once won enough to keep her and her partner for a whole year.
She revealed: "One of the few things I'm prepared to boast about is that I actually once kept us on my winnings after a race.
"It wasn't that much, because we were living very cheaply. But it was enough to live on for a year."
The blonde star says she loves the gamble of making films as much as betting.
She confessed: "It's a particular challenge to get these films made. And maybe more than anything, this is what I love to do.
"I'm a gambler: I love this thing of going, 'I know this horse is gonna come clean for you. I know it is. And you can doubt away. But I know. And then it does."
