Fey to Walk Brooklyn Bridge for Charity

Comedienne Tina Fey is calling on fans to brave the cold and join her in a charity walk across New York's Brooklyn Bridge to raise money for cancer research.
The 30 Rock star will be taking part in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's annual Light the Night Walk across the Big Apple landmark from Manhattan to Brooklyn on Thursday evening (15Oct09) - and she wants her devoteesto support the cause.
She says, "It's gonna be a cold night but we're gonna be out there. It's the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk. We're gonna walk the Brooklyn Bridge, it's gonna be rough".

Fey reveals she signed up as spokesperson for the organization, which conducts research and provides support for cancer victims, after watching a friend's brave battle with the disease.
She explains, "A very good friend of mine was diagnosed with Lymphoma and is now a survivor. She's a young woman, a young mother; this disease affects families so much.
"Every four minutes someone is diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease or leukaemia or lymphoma. So come on out, there's walks all over the country, not just in New York".
