Sizemore Arrested for Assault

Troubled actor Tom Sizemore is back behind bars after allegedly assaulting a woman during a heated argument in Los Angeles on Wednesday (05Aug09).

The Saving Private Ryan star was arrested and booked on a charge of misdemeanour domestic violence following the late night altercation.

He is being held on $20,000 (£13,330) bail, reports Tmz.

It's not the first time Sizemore has been accused of hitting a woman - in 2003, he was convicted of assaulting his then-girlfriend, Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

The actor, who has long battled drug addiction, has had a string of other run-ins with the law - he was last arrested in May (09) on an outstanding warrant for drug charges.
