Hudgens sued for $5 million

Vanessa Hudgens is being sued for $5 million (£2.5 million) by the man who helped to launch her singing career.

Johnny Vieira filed a lawsuit against the High School Musical star in Los Angeles on Monday, alleging that he and Hudgens entered Into a production agreement to launch the teenager's career.

He claims they had a deal to "share equally" in her potential success. Vieira says the agreement was approved by the court because she was a minor.

Vieira goes on to say that she dumped him when the Disney film became a success and they entered into a settlement agreement.

He claims Hudgens owes him more than $2 million (£1 million) and is suing for a total of $5 million (£2.5 million).
