Troyer Hits Back At Harassment Accusations

Verne Troyer has hit back at an ex-girlfriend who took out a restraining order against the actor, denying allegations he threatened to hurt her.

The pint-sized Austin Powers star briefly dated Yvette Monet after theymet at a Playboy Mansion party in December (08).

Last month (Nov09), sheclaimed he had bombarded her with abusive phone calls that left her fearing for her life.

Troyer insists her accusations are false and has filed a legal responsein Los Angeles.

Monet received a protection order last month (Nov09) after she told a judge she feared for her life because members of Troyer's entourage carry guns.

But Troyer maintains, "At no time did I ever threaten Ms. Monet or evenhint to her that I would harm her in any way".

According to the Austin Powers star, the couple got into a fight after she asked to borrow money to pay her bills, but refused to show him the actual bills.

He eventually handed her a check for $2,000 (£1,250) but they broke up days later, reports Tmz.com.

Troyer denies sending Monet threatening messages, insisting he only found out about the restraining order when he read about it.
