Victoria Beckham Tells Of Health Fears

Victoria Beckham has admitted she was concerned she would suffer a meltdown shortly before Christmas as "the pressure" of juggling her fashion line, a new baby and a possible house move took its toll on her health.

The British pop star-turned designer, who lives in Los Angeles with her family, gave birth to a daughter, Harper, in July (11) and just weeks later she was back at work on her latest clothing collection.

Beckham was also considering a move to the U.K. as her husband, soccer star David Beckham, contemplated signing a contract with a British team, and she reveals the stress of the situation made her sick.

She tells Britain's The Guardian, "I left L.A. to come back to the U.K. for Christmas, not knowing whether I was leaving for two weeks or 18 months, so that brought with it a certain amount of anxiety.

"Of course I've got people to help me, but in the end there's a lot that only I can do. Finding new schools for the children isn't something anyone else can do for me. "Plus the fact that this season (in fashion) is such a short one.

It got to the point, just before Christmas, when for the first time ever, I wasn't actually sure if I could cope.

"I was working in London and the day I finished work, I went to bed and woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning with a chest infection and throat infection. I very rarely get sick - I can't remember the last time before that that I had a cold or anything - but I guess I was really feeling the pressure".
