Victoria Beckham Rants Over 'Miserable' Image

Victoria Beckham has hit back at critics who have accused her of looking gaunt and "miserable" in recent weeks, insisting she has been struggling to juggle her duties as a mum with her job in fashion.

The former Spice Girls star gave birth to her daughter Harper last year(11) and within weeks, she was back at work preparing her latest clothing collection for New York Fashion Week.

Beckham has been pictured looking tired and frail recently, and she has put her appearance down to late night work meetings and staying up with her baby girl.

She tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "Look, if people want to say I'm miserable then so be it. I'm really not. I have a lot on my plate. I'm not going to lie about it, I'm tired.

"I'm really tired but I'm also very happy with my life. I'm basically just like any woman who's working and has lots of children - it's tough.

"I'm not getting much sleep at all. Harper's not sleepingthat great, and I've been taking Skype business calls throughout the night too because of the collections.

"I'm up with the baby as all mums are and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"There's not a team of people doing it for me. And then people want to say I look c**p. Well, I'm a working mum, so give me a break...

"I'd like there to be a break but I very much doubt it'sgoing to happen any time soon. When Harper sleeps that will be my break".
