Soccer star David and his former Spice Girl wife Victoria took legal action against Gibson for disclosure of private and confidential information.

And a judge at London's High Court heard on Tuesday (16Jun09) that Gibson has now apologised to the Beckhams and agreed to give "permanent undertakings of confidentiality".

She will also drop a claim for constructive dismissal against the couple.

The Beckhams' solicitor, Gerrard Tyrrell, told the court, "(Gibson) hasunconditionally apologised to David and Victoria Beckham and their family for breaching her duties of confidence... (She) now accepts that she should not have breached her duties of confidence to David and Victoria Beckham and their children by speaking to the News of the World".
