Vinnie Jones' Bar Brawler Arrested on Drug Charges

The man who brawled with movie star Vinnie Jones in a South Dakota bar has been arrested on drug charges.

The former soccer hard man was charged with three counts of assault following the fight in December (08) - after he was caught on Cctv punching Juan Barrera.

Jones needed 48 stitches after the fight, during which he was reportedly hit in the face by a glass.

And, as Jones prepares for a hearing on 23 February (09), his fighting partner faces a new legal problem.

Barrera and two associates were arrested on Friday (06Feb09) after police intercepted two packages full of marijuana reportedly intended for thetrio at a Sioux Falls, South Dakota FedEx office.

Officers then staged a raid on Barrera's apartment and found $18,000 (£12,000) in cash and a gun.

The three men have pleaded not guilty to possession of and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
