Mulder and Scully look set to get intimate in the new 'X-Files' movie.Following years of lingering looks, the FBI Special Agents - played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson - appear to kiss after a still was released from 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe', the big screen adaptation of the hit US TV show.However, Duchovny has confused fans of the hit sci-fi series, by claiming the embrace is "a joke". When asked if Mulder and Scully's relationship will develop into romance, director Chris Carter said: "I would never say it was just a joke. The relationship does evolve."It makes everything suspect, and I think that's a good thing."The film's plot is being closely guarded, but Duchovny has promised the movie will be terrifying.He said: "It's very dark and frightening. This movie goes back to the original impetus of 'The X-Files', which is to scare the pants off people."
