It was love at first sight for actor Zac Efron when he met his girlfriend and co-star Vanessa Hudgens.
The 19-year-old star met 18-year-old Hudgens at the casting for Disney hit movie High School Musical, and admits he instantly fell for his future co-star.
He says, "For all of the partner things, me and Vanessa always got paired up.
"I was like, 'They're not trying us with other people.' For some reason we kept sticking around (for callbacks).
"I don't know what it was with Vanessa, but we kind of clicked from the very beginning."
High School Musical has gone on to become one of the most successful Disney Channel Original Movies.
The plot, a modern day Romeo and Juliet, follows Troy Bolton (Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Hudgens) students from rival cliques.
The pair both try out for the lead parts in their high school musical which divides the school.
The movie went on to have a successful album as well as a concert tour, featuring all of the original cast except Efron.
