Avril Lavigne Joins Fast Food Nation.AVRIL LAVIGNE has signed up to make her acting debut in a screen adaptation of ERIC SCHLOSSER's bestselling expose FAST FOOD NATION.The Canadian pop star will share the screen with PATRICIA ARQUETTE, BOBBY CANNAVALE, LUIS GUZMAN, ETHAN HAWKE, GREG KINNEAR, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON and WILMER VALDERRAMA, among others. The movie, based on the book which exposed secrets of the fast food industry, is set to be released next year (06).

Larger-than-life funnyman JACK BLACK has signed up for a new delivered gourmet food diet plan in a bid to wean himself off fast food dinners.The SHALLOW HAL star has ordered a "satchel of health" to be delivered daily by California nutrition firm Sunfare, after watching MORGAN SPURLOCK's anti-McDonald's documentary SUPER SIZE ME, in which the film-maker developed serious illnesses during 30 days of eating nothing but fast food.Black states, "That guy (Spurlock) was onto something."
