Jennifer Aniston says her future mother-in-law would be upset if she eloped.

The 'Cake' star, who has been engaged to 'The Leftovers' star Justin Theroux since August 2012, admits it would "bum a lot of people out," including the actor's mother, Phyllis Grissim-Theroux, if they decided not to have a traditional big wedding.

Asked if she was serious when she recently claimed they might "just do it" without any fuss, the 45-year-old actress said: "I mean sure [we would elope], but then it would bum a lot of people out if we did that, especially his mom."

The former 'Friends' star also revealed she knew Justin was the man for her when she discovered he is a great cook.

She said: "He does Huevos rancheros that is divine. That was actually yesterday's breakfast."

Meanwhile, Jennifer - who previously joked that it was "almost just as good" to be snubbed for an Oscar than it would have been to be nominated - feels she has finally proved that she is more than just a comic actress.

She told E! News: "It was important for me to do this [role] really as a test for myself and a challenge for myself really to see if I could do it because I was able to prove to myself that there is more there than fun and jokes."
