Pixie Lott thinks it's important to look your best on New Year's Eve.

The 23-year-old singer always goes "all out" to dress up when she celebrates the turning of the year and even if the past 12 months have been bad, she thinks it is a good way to kick off a new start.

Pixie Lott thinks New Year's Eve is a good time to make a new start and the best way to do so is to really dress up.

She said: "You have to look your best for New Year. If you've had a terrible year, think of it as a new start and go all-out with glitter and glamour. And don't forget your heels."

The blonde beauty - who is in a relationship with model Oliver Cheshire - also advises taking good care with make-up to complete a glamorous outfit.

She said: "I'm a big fan of a statement eye, but make sure you blend your colour.

"Apply your shadow to the lid and then shade it out using a good brush."

2015 will start with a bang for Pixie as she is releasing her new album in January.

She said "The album in January is just going to be my fourth album. We've already got the sessions booked in. We're going to go to New York, LA.

"My last album, I wanted it to be really organic, I worked with like a small group of people, but this album, I think after just dancing and stuff, I want to do more of a fun, up-tempo vibe, do some collaborations, do something fresh and be up for working with loads of different producers."
