The 'High School Musical' star has started her run as the lead character in stage show 'Gigi' and the 'Come And Get It' hitmaker has reached out to tell her "big sissy" to break a leg.

Captioning a photograph of the pair, Selena wrote: "Missing and loving my big sissy @vanessahudgens as she dominates Broadway.

"I remember watching tv and looking up to her, now I'm supporting her from across the country, kind of surreal. -GO CHECK IT OUT NYC. #proudsis #LOVEYOUBEAUTIFULSOUL #gangstahippies, (sic)"

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old beauty previously admitted she was incredibly "nervous" ahead of her audition for the show.

Recalling the audition process, she said: "In a building that's the epicentre of Broadway auditions, all the possibles were singing their hearts out. Trying so hard. I felt out of place. I was nervous. Terrified.

"I started reading the lines, and it somehow felt right. I did the scene I'd prepared. They asked me to do another, which I hadn't prepared.

"Not happy, I went into another room and worked on it. They gave me 10 minutes. Recording my voice on my phone, I did my best. Memorised as much as I could. They gave me no notes and a few hours later they called me."
