According to the latest tabloids, Channel 4's head honchos have agreed to the hit programme Shameless returning for another two series, and are in negotiations to bag further episodes.
The award-winning, Manchter based drama, which is based around the highly disfunctional Gallagher clan, will screen a fourth season in January, with series five planned for broadcasting later in the year.
A spokesperson linked to the show is quoted in the Sun newspaper as saying:"Theyre working on the fourth series at the moment. The fifth series is definitely in the pipeline but its under discussion as to whether well increase it to more than eight episodes."
As the serial's ratings seem to keep rising, it's makers are now even thinking about creating a permanent set of their own.
The source also disclosed:"The production team are looking around Manchester at a new studio space but they havent found anywhere or signed on the dotted line."
