Bruce Beresford-Redman Extradited to Mexico for Murder Trial

Bruce Beresford-Redman, the producer of hit reality TV show Survivor, hasbeen extradited to Mexico, where he'll face charges of murdering his wife.

He is innocent and it is his hope that the court in Mexico will assure (sic) that he receives a fair trial in which, he is confident, he will be exonerated

The Emmy-nominated TV executive, who stands accused of killing his wifeMonica during a vacation in Cancun in April, 2010, was extradited from Los Angeles on Wednesday (08Feb12), according to multiple reports.

United States Marshals will hand him over to Mexican law enforcement officials overnight.

Beresford-Redman's representative reveals the executive will defend himself in court, adding, "We are disappointed in the court's decision denying our request to prevent the extradition of our client, Bruce Beresford-Redman.

"After consultation with him, Bruce has decided not to appeal the decision and to return to Mexico and defend himself on the charges.

"He is innocent and it is his hope that the court in Mexico will assure (sic) that he receives a fair trial in which, he is confident, he will be exonerated".
