Taylor Swift admits it will take her "decades to recover" after Aretha Franklin serenaded her.

The 'Blank Space' hitmaker was overjoyed when the legendary soul singer, 72, sang 'Happy Birthday' to her at the Billboard Women in Music luncheon on Friday (12.12.14), just one day ahead of her 25th birthday.

Before sharing a Vine video clip of the special performance on Twitter, the blonde beauty tweeted: "Aretha Franklin just sang 'Happy Birthday' to me and it will take me decades to recover. #goals"

The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker, who was named the Billboard Woman of the Year in October, was also thrilled to officially accept the accolade at the event in New York City.

During her speech, she said: "Being named Billboard Woman of the Year for a second time is this amazing early birthday present.

"I turn 25 at midnight tonight, and I fully intend to celebrate like it's 1989 [the title of her latest album]. I knew it was a bad joke when I wrote it, and I just did it anyway!"

Taylor also used the opportunity to gush about her greatest moment of 2014, according to Billboard.com.

She said: "The greatest moment of the year for me was when my fans went out and proved that if you provide them with a bold statement and pour your life into an album, they'll buy it."
