When they announced their split at the beginning of the month, fans of Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer were heartbroken for the pair.

The Love Island 2018 winners decided to go their separate ways quite shockingly, as it seemed to the rest of the world they were very happy together. But as we all know, what we show on Instagram isn’t always a great reflection of what goes on behind closed doors. Despite fans’ sadness that their relationship had ended, they vowed to support the pair individually as they continued their lives without each other by their side.

But the mood of some seems to have changed since photos of Dani being intimate with a new man emerged, sparking some fans to react furiously - even accusing her of cheating whilst she was with Jack.

Overnight, Dani has been branded a fame-hungry fake since details came out that she has been spending time with her ex, Sammy Kimmence.

And behold, yet another example of a strong, inspiring woman who promotes equality, body positivity and is an all-round fantastic example of a modern role model for young women and girls, battered down by the opinions of those on social media over her own decision to do something that makes her happy.

Twitter has spiralled into a hub of women-bashing, shaming comments directed at Dani and her recent actions.

Disappointed? Yes. Surprised? Sadly, not so much.

In a recent interview, Jack made it clear that the relationship ended on good terms.

“I wish her all the best - I genuinely mean that - I hope she’s happy” were the exact words he used on Good Morning Britain. But, it seems this is only true if she refrains from engaging in any intimacy with another man, since he has engaged with tweets suggesting he had a lucky escape from the star.

Dani has spent her time since leaving the villa building her online following and her career, promoting body positivity and getting involved raising money for charities such as Comic Relief amongst many other ventures.

Here we have a beautiful young woman who made us laugh, cry and fall in love with her humour and kind-heart on last year’s series of Love Island, who came out of the villa and continued to promote her message of love and female empowerment, who has been a brilliant role model to her millions of followers by speaking out against the pressures of society to look ‘perfect’, who has gone on to release a book and a clothing line and inspire others to feel good in their own skin.

All of that crumbled overnight because it’s such an unimaginable concept to accept that she can move on, enjoy life and not stay indoors crying over a break-up until society says enough time has passed.

It’s a sad reality that this is far too common. After all the hard work that Dani has done to empower women, must we really bash her for doing something for herself?

Moving on should not be time-restricted. Happiness should not have to be justified, nor should it have to be apologised for.

It was only a few months ago that we were all praising Ariana Grande for celebrating moving on and self-focus when she released thank u, next - so why the sudden change of heart? We're just going to leave this here...

It’s wonderful that Dani is enjoying her freedom as a newly-single woman, and is clearing embracing opportunities to allow love into her life, despite a recent break-up.

We stand with Dani!
