Burns Night celebrates Scotland’s most famous poet, Robert Burns. The night is designed to be spent with good company, good food and good drink.
Here’s a cocktail that will help you celebrate in style!
50 ml Burns Malt Whisky
25 ml Fresh Lime Juice
15ml Sugar Syrup
6 Mint Leaves
Euan Mitchell, managing director at Isle of Arran Distillers explains how to make the Burnito, “If you’re looking for the perfect Burns Night cocktail, the Burnito has it all.
“To make this delicious drink put the whisky, lime and sugar into a cocktail shaker and shake well until the ingredients are mixed. Next fill a tall glass with ice and strain in the liquid. Top up with ginger beer and garnish with a wedge of lime and a fresh mint sprig.
“Some people are dubious about using single malt in a cocktail, but the Burns Malt is the perfect pairing with these ingredients to create a luxurious cocktail to toast Burns’ memory.”
