Ginger Latte

With the nation fast wrapping up in their woolly hats, gloves and winter knits, Lactofree is turning up the temperature.

The UK’s leading lactose free dairy range have devised a collection of easy to digest milky drinks, infused with flavours of the season, to give classic hot drinks a festive twist.

For an instant treat try one of the recipes below:

Ginger Latte (serves 1)

For the Ginger Syrup

- 200g organic cane sugar

- 150g chopped fresh ginger

- 375ml water

For the Latte

- 300ml (steamed) Lactofree Semi Skimmed

- 2 tablespoon ginger syrup

- 35ml Lactofree cream (whipped)

- 1 pinch ground cinnamon

To make the ginger syrup, bring the sugar, water and ginger to the boil. Then reduce heat to a simmer and continue cooking for 45 minutes. Strain through a mesh strainer into a bottle.

For the ginger latte, heat Lactofree Semi Skimmed in a saucepan orin the microwave. Then add 2 tablespoons of ginger syrup.

Pour into your favourite mug and top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.
